Accountabilities

  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Sales Tax Filings
  • Credit Card and Expense Reporting
  • WIP Record Keeping

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations across multiple accounts.
  • Complete and file sales tax returns for multiple states, ensuring timeliness and compliance with state-specific regulations.
  • Manage credit card administration for 50+ company credit cards, including expense report review, coding, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and update project/job costing records regularly.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations, including cash, inventory, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, AP/AR adjustments, and intercompany accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, preparing journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers, and record new assets, disposals, and monthly depreciation.
  • Manage prepaid expense amortizations and recurring accruals.
  • Help strengthen accounting processes and internal controls, recommending improvements where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP standards, and state/federal regulations.
  • Assist with documentation for audits and support audit requests.
  • Support the Controller and CFO with ad-hoc tasks, analysis, and projects.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other duties as needed.

What You Should Have

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and financial software and reporting tools.
  • State sales tax filing experience.
  • High attention to detail; ability to tackle complex transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and/or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones.

Compensation And Benefits

The hiring compensation range for this position is a base salary of of $70,000-$90,000/year. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.
