Knowesis is seeking a Post-Production Editor to support the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in transforming raw video content into compelling, high-quality multimedia deliverables. The Post-Production Editor will collaborate closely with producers, directors, and stakeholders to craft engaging video narratives that communicate critical health and policy information to diverse audiences.

Knowesis is seeking a Post-Production Editor to support the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in transforming raw video content into compelling, high-quality multimedia deliverables. The Post-Production Editor will collaborate closely with producers, directors, and stakeholders to craft engaging video narratives that communicate critical health and policy information to diverse audiences.
The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assemble raw video and audio into a cohesive final product following storyboards and scripts.
- Select the best takes, arrange scenes, trim clips, and synchronize audio.
- Edit live-stream recordings into on-demand segments with intros, outros, and highlight reels.
- Design and integrate motion graphics, lower thirds, and visual effects to enhance message clarity and engagement.
- Reformat content for vertical video platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X).
- Clean and enhance audio (noise reduction, equalization).
- Mix dialogue, music, and effects to professional broadcast standards.
- Adjust and balance color, brightness, and contrast for consistent visual quality across deliverables.
- Provide accurate captions and transcriptions to meet accessibility and SEO requirements.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently within established timelines.
- Maintain organized archives of project files and final assets per FDA and federal records requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required) in Communications, Digital Media, Audio Visual Production, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in video production, editing, and/or post-production.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Proven ability to craft compelling video content across broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
- Strong storytelling skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Availability to work outside normal business hours, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
- Applicants must also pass a background check and VA onboarding procedures to gain access to VA systems.
- Experience with live-stream post-production and rapid-turnaround editing.
- Familiarity with federal agency communications or public health content.
- Knowledge of animation, motion graphics design, and video compression techniques for web and social distribution.
