Occupational Therapy Assistant - Wildwood School
Pay range: $29.15 - $39.93
This position includes the 10 month School year and a 6 week Summer program
Who are we: Wildwood School, A part of Wildwood Programs, provides a comprehensive educational program for students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities to prepare them to be as independent as possible. Academic, social, employment, and functional skills are taught to each student as driven by their Individual Educational Plan (IEP), needs, and interests.

We are looking for caring, compassionate and engaging Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to help promote independence, self-esteem and social integration in a special education setting.

Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Associate’s Degree from a two-year college
- New York State Occupation Therapy Assistant License
- Assists in evaluation of student’s daily living skills and capacities to determine extent of abilities and limitations.
- Plans and implements educational, vocational, and recreational programs and activities established by registered Occupational Therapist.
- Recommends adaptations to tasks performed during program activities as needed.
- Fabricates splints and other assistive devices.
- Reports information and observations to supervisor.
- Carries out general activity program for individuals or groups
- A valid New York State Driver’s License and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
- Required to complete, pass, and use CALM training, provided by the school, which includes de-escalation strategies and approved protective holds and movements for students.
