About the Role:


As a Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families through various mental health challenges by providing compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Your work will focus on assessing clients' psychological needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions to promote emotional well-being and resilience. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and provide crisis intervention when necessary to support clients in acute distress. This role requires a deep understanding of behavioral health principles and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to diverse populations and life transitions. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to improving clients' quality of life by fostering healthier coping mechanisms and emotional growth.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.

  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, including individual and group therapy.

  • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health principles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse client populations.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Specialized training or certification in family therapy, anger management, or trauma-informed care.

  • Experience working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, and adults.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms.

  • Additional credentials such as Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) or equivalent.

  • Bilingual abilities or experience working in multicultural settings.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based counseling techniques.

  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes.

  • Facilitate anger management and life transition counseling to help clients navigate personal challenges.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Stay current with developments in psychotherapy and behavioral health to continuously improve therapeutic outcomes.

The required skills such as Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy are essential for conducting effective assessments and delivering tailored therapeutic interventions that address clients' mental health needs. Group Therapy and Family Therapy skills enable the therapist to facilitate sessions that improve communication and relationships within families and peer groups. Crisis Intervention and Anger Management skills are critical for managing clients in distress and helping them develop healthier coping strategies. Life Transitions expertise allows the therapist to support clients through significant changes, fostering resilience and adaptation. Behavioral Health knowledge underpins all therapeutic activities, ensuring that interventions are grounded in current research and best practices to promote overall mental wellness.
