About the Role
Join Emplify Health by Gundersen as a RN, Clinical Manager and lead our 24-bed Neuroscience Unit, an intermediate care unit caring for patients with complex neurological needs. This is a unique opportunity to drive change, foster team engagement, and elevate patient care in a Joint Commission Stroke Certified Center.

Clinical Manager (RN) – Neuroscience Unit

About the Role
Join Emplify Health by Gundersen as a RN, Clinical Manager and lead our 24-bed Neuroscience Unit, an intermediate care unit caring for patients with complex neurological needs. This is a unique opportunity to drive change, foster team engagement, and elevate patient care in a Joint Commission Stroke Certified Center.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-acuity medical/surgical unit.
- Lead and support a team of 80 RNs and CNAs (transitioning to a supervisor model in 2026).
- Collaborate with the Clinical Operations Director, Medical Director, and Med/Surg manager team to align goals and implement best practices.
- Partner with unit-based leaders (Clinical Nurse Leader, Professional Development Nurse, Stroke Coordinators) to ensure excellence in care delivery.
- Champion change management initiatives to strengthen culture and improve workflows.
- Strong Peer Support: Work alongside eight experienced Med/Surg Clinical Managers in a collaborative leadership environment.
- Leadership Development: Access robust onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing training.

- BSN required; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of clinical RN experience; leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Current RN license in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain).
- BLS certification (Infant–Adult) for Healthcare Providers.
- Skilled at building relationships and fostering accountability with empathy.
- Experienced in leading through change and driving team engagement.
- Prior leadership exposure (Charge Nurse, committee/council work).
