This position focuses on optimizing processes, implementing advanced technologies, and fostering operational excellence to achieve Jabil's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Operations Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies aligned with Jabil's long-term business goals, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, quality improvement, and scalability.
- Process Optimization & Innovation: Identify, analyze, and re-engineer existing operational processes across various manufacturing sites and supply chain functions. Lead initiatives to implement best practices, lean manufacturing principles, and advanced automation solutions.
- Technology & Digital Transformation: Evaluate, pilot, and deploy cutting-edge operational technologies, including AI, IoT, robotics, and advanced analytics, to enhance productivity, visibility, and decision-making within Jabil's global footprint.
- Global Project Management: Oversee and manage complex, cross-functional operational development projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and achievement of desired outcomes.
- Performance Measurement & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational development initiatives, monitor progress, analyze data, and provide regular, insightful reports to senior leadership.
- Team Leadership & Development: Mentor, coach, and develop a team of operations development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner effectively with various internal departments (e.g., Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Business Units) and external vendors to drive operational excellence and achieve shared objectives.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Identify potential operational risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure all operational development initiatives comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and Jabil's internal policies.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical), Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related technical field. Master's degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Engineering) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in operations management, manufacturing engineering, or supply chain leadership within a complex, global manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or a related high-volume industry.
- Leadership & Management: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, managing complex projects, and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred), process automation, industrial engineering principles, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, anticipate future trends, and translate business objectives into actionable operational strategies.
- Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 30-40%).
