Morning Dew Tropical Plants is the premier plant broker in Florida. Founded in 1994, we source the highest quality plant material for interiorscapers, garden centers, and florists all across the country. We are open year round and have a very busy Spring season from March until June. IMMEDIATE OPENING! LOOKING TO HIRE THE RIGHT CANDIDATE RIGHT AWAY!

The Morning Dew crew is looking to grow! We are looking for the right candidate to join our plant purchasing and customer service department. You will work in an air conditioned office in Delray Beach. This is an OFFICE JOB with high emphasis on plant knowledge, customer service, logistics, and sales. Team members make regular visits to nurseries in Homestead, Palm Beach, and Apopka. If you love plants and plant people, this is a great place to work!

8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday

Paid holidays

Eligible for paid vacation (after 1 year)

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include working with growers, trucklines, internal team to coordinate plant orders with customers. You'll be speaking regularly with growers about available plants, updating our system with accurate information, and working directly with customers to order the plants they need. This is an office job in a fast-paced environment involving computer and phone work. Other responsibilities may include sales efforts: following up with customers who haven't ordered and leads who have expressed interest in our services. Responsibilities also include assisting with general office duties and may include visits to nurseries and attending yearly tradeshow.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong interest in and enthusiasm for plants (knowing aglaonemas, dracaenas, pothos, palms, etc. is a huge plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organized
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Personable
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access)
  • General knowledge of operating office equipment - printers, phones, faxes, scanners
  • Ability to move around the office throughout the day - walking, bending, standing
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree

Desired, But Not Required

  • 1-5 years’ experience in horticulture or horticulture degree
  • Plant shipping or other logistics experience
  • Sales experience

Must have reliable transportation and live within driving distance of Delray Beach, FL.
