Role:


The Audit Administrator is the central liaison for all audit-related activities, ensuring audits are conducted methodically and efficiently. This role provides administrative support to the Compliance Specialist and VP of Finance, assisting with a variety of tasks to maintain compliance and operational integrity.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


40%     Manage and coordinate all aspects of audit administration, ensuring scheduling, oversight of request for proposal (RFP) processes, and efficient handling of essential documentation. Responsibilities include collecting, uploading, and securely maintaining records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.


20%     Act as the main liaison for audits, facilitating communication between internal teams and external auditors.


20%     Support internal compliance reviews and assist in branch audits by gathering, organizing, and maintaining documentation.


10%     Maintain exception report tracer with completed audits and remediation.


5%        Manage the employee registration and periodic reviews of the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and Medallion Stamp Program.


5%        Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


 


Performance Measurements:


Must comply with government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry including, but not limited to, OFAC and the Bank Secrecy Act.


Meets or exceeds performance expectations as described in Essential Functions and Responsibilities.

Knowledge and Skills:


Experience      One to three years of banking, audit, finance, accounting, or related experience.


Education         A high school education required. A minimum of an associate degree in business, finance or accounting preferred but not required.


Interpersonal Skills    A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of Management, Auditors and Examiners. Candidate must be able to act with confident and assertive authority, to defer to others in a collaborative and respectful manner, and to apply these abilities appropriately.


Other Skills     This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management is essential, as the role demands meeting strict deadlines, multitasking effectively, and prioritizing workload. A keen attention to detail and analytical thinking are critical, ensuring the ability to review data, recognize inconsistencies, and maintain accuracy in reporting. Integrity is a core expectation, with a strong moral compass and a commitment to upholding company policies, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards.


Knowledge of standard office operations, procedures, and best practices is required, along with proficiency in operating essential office equipment such as computers, keyboards, calculators, fax machines, scanners, copiers, and telephones. Additionally, the role demands advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel to support efficient data management, reporting, and communication.
