As a Data Scientist you will work with Machine Learning Engineers and MLOps Engineers to build, scale, and maintain AI/ML training and scoring pipelines.?You will also work lead development and execution of new and/or highly complex algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes.?Lastly, you will architectures and the CTO team to assess and research technologies, AWS services, and frameworks for our Cloud & DevSecOps pipelines.? You should be analytical and an excellent communicator.?

Required Qualifications:
eSimplicity supports a remote (or hybrid depending on the role and program) work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager.
Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.

Responsibilities
- Leading statistical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses?
- Leading and maintaining organizational practices in version control, software development and configuration management, including key performance indicators for the delivery of machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms?
- Maintaining current data product APIs, releasing ML models on a regular cadence, building capability of continuous training and monitoring?
- Explaining model behavior/results to both Technical and Non-Technical Audiences?
- Leading engagements with key business stakeholders in discussions on business strategies, opportunities, and project KPIs?
- Serving as a subject matter expert on machine learning and artificial intelligence?
- Leading research and development of machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions from ideation to implementation to product?
- Anticipating and solving strategic and high-risk business problems with broad impact on the business area by applying leading-edge theories and techniques to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions?
- Demonstrating the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project?
- Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs?
- Monitoring processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage?
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible?
- Participating in incidence management and root cause analyses?
- Coordinating and communicating within the team and with customers?
Required Qualifications:
- All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation.?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Scientist, or related technical field?OR
- In lieu of a degree, ten years of general information technology experience and at least eight years of specialized experience
- 8+ years experience working in research and development, building ML and statistical models, AWS cloud data architecture and big data technologies including EMR, Databricks, Hive, Spark, AWS Glue, Athena, and Redshift
- Working with Medicaid Data
- Experience working in AWS?
- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure?
- Strong experience with Python, PySpark, R, RStudio, and SageMaker?
- Strong experience with data mining, supervised, and unsupervised learning methodologies including data dimensionality reduction, correlation analysis, linear regression, PCA, clustering, random forest, etc.?
- Strong experience with AI/ML libraries such as scikit-learn, SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Experience with Agile methodologies?
- Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence?
- Proficient with relational databases and advanced SQL?
- Experience configuring and managing databases such as Hive, MySQL, MongoDB?
- Excellent troubleshooting skills?
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services?
- Awareness of critical concepts in Security, DevOps and Agile principles?
