Field Coordinator at Hazen and Sawyer
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an individual to serve as a Field Coordinator for our Lexington, KY office and Georgetown (Project Location). The ideal candidate will work on major water infrastructure projects. Duties include all aspects of construction inspection and coordination of construction activities. The primary function in this position is to serve as resident project representative (RPR) and assist in the management of contractor’s work to ensure compliance with Contract Drawings and Specifications.
Once projects are in construction, the candidate will support project managers by providing general oversight during the construction of projects.
Candidate must be able to review construction work onsite to ensure compliance with Contract Drawings and Specifications. Facilitate coordination and communication between Owner and Contractor to ensure construction activities do not impact Owner operations. Assists with construction administration documentation: RFI’s, field orders, claims, submittal/schedule review, meetings, payment applications, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Project Representative completing daily reports and coordinating construction activities.
- Has a firm grasp of all technical disciplines, water and wastewater treatment and conveyance.
- Communicate clearly and concisely through technical writing.
- Walking / traversing across the project site(s).
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in construction administration and observation, preferably in water / wastewater treatment facility and/or conveyance construction experience.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with project participants towards the common goal of successful project completion
- Excellent writing, communication, and people skills.
- Proficient in all computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, and Excel, etc.).
- Candidate must have strong organizational skills.
