Hiring for Surgery Scheduler at Methodist McKinney Hospital (Full Time- Day Shift)

General Summary Of Duties
- Counseling patients and scheduling surgeries for multiple physicians.
- Schedule surgeries and work with primary care physicians on a daily basis to ensure each patient has their history and physicals completed prior to surgery.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for each procedure on the physicians’ schedule.
- Precertify any procedures on the schedule that require pre-certification.
- Must be capable of multi-tasking and working with a diverse patient population.
- Provide back up support for the Front Office as needed.
- Other duties as needed.
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Minimum 2 years experience if scheduling experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma required.
- Experience in a surgical facility preferred.
- Computer experience preferred.
- Requires language skills adequate for written and interpersonal communication
- Require visual and auditory acuity adequate from frequent use of computers, Occasional use of other business office equipment.
- Ability to sit for long periods and to perform desk and office activities
