Garrett Painting is growing fast, and we’re looking for an Operations & Finance Manager who brings confidence, organization, and strong follow-through to the center of our operation. This role is hands-on and fast-moving, and it’s well-suited for someone who enjoys juggling priorities, solving problems as they arise, and keeping a growing business operating at a high level.
This position requires sound judgment, clear communication, and the ability to stay focused and positive in a demanding environment.

Keeping the Day Moving
Pay: $60,000–$80,000 per year (DOE)

Keeping the Day Moving
- Schedule estimators, crews, subcontractors, and jobs
- Adjust schedules as priorities shift
- Balance workloads so projects stay on track and crews stay productive
- Ensure every project is fully set up in company systems within 24 hours
- Answer calls and emails from new leads and active customers
- Schedule estimate appointments and manage changes or delays
- Create invoices, follow up on payments, and manage deposits
- Handle customer questions or concerns professionally and efficiently
- Request and manage Google reviews once projects are complete
- Send invoices within 24 hours of job completion or acceptance
- Keep Accounts Receivable strong (goal: 95% collected within 30 days)
- Create, manage, and track subcontractor agreements, projections, and commitments
- Review subcontractor invoices against contracts and projections before payment
- Review supply house tickets to ensure materials are correctly costed to the appropriate projects
- Provide clear weekly financial and operational updates to ownership
- Complete Simple IRA submittals and keep records organized
- Ensure payroll accuracy and ensure rapid resolution of any issues
- Provide finance team and virtual assistant with accurate documentation for timely bookkeeping
- Set up projects in appropriate software
- Assist crews with iPad setup and basic technology needs
- Address software and system issues promptly and follow through to resolution
- Identify and implement improvements to office systems and workflows
- Keep systems organized, current, and reliable
- Support Lead weekly crew lead and management meetings
- Run monthly team meetings with clear agendas and outcomes
- Conduct and complete employee performance reviews on a consistent schedule
- Track employee milestones and achievements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment
- Build and maintain SOPs and a living training manual for this role
- Maintain licenses, insurance, COIs, and W-9s
- Complete insurance and compliance audits as required
- Maintain organized, audit-ready records
- Leads are contacted promptly
- Projects are set up accurately and on time
- Invoices are issued without delay
- Cash flow remains strong and predictable
- Crews are scheduled clearly and efficiently
- Subcontractor work is properly contracted, tracked and paid according to agreed terms
- Customers feel informed and taken care of
- The business operates smoothly and continues to grow
