We are seeking a Director of Concierge Services to join our community, committed to delivering outstanding experiences to our residents. As a Director of Concierge Services, you will play an important role in enhancing the residents' experience and lifestyle by building a positive hospitality service culture and coordinating an organized system of concierge services. What you'll do:
- Directs, Schedules, and Staffs the Concierge and Transportation associates.
- Coordinate hospitality service activities.
- Establish and maintain organized communications and reference systems at each concierge desk.
- Serve as liaison with new resident upon move-in.
- Act as liaison between resident with community by providing direction in resolving concerns.
- Participate in various resident events and social groups to build and maintain relationships with the community population.
- Coordinate and lead the resident welcoming to provide social support to the new member and resident.
- Introduce new residents to community life through personal tours and building orientation, staff introductions, navigating the dining room, functions of the business office, and orientation to general amenities and services, including concierge services.
- Conduct follow-up contacts with new residents to ensure positive adjustment.
- Assist leaders in training other department associates in positive hospitality services. Lead associates in building a positive hospitality service culture.
- Lead team in identifying and resolving potential residential issues.
- Lead team in first impression efforts, including monthly/quarterly inspections.
- Manage the relationship with Lifeline.
- Process and notify members and residents of facsimiles, packages, and other special communications.
- Maintain a stamp bank with postage for resident purchase.
- Provide for notary services.
- Manage relationships with outside caregivers who come into the community to provide care to residents.
- Ensures proper coverage for hospitality and transportation services at all times.
- A minimum of (3) years' experience or a combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, with experience in the senior housing industry or hospitality management preferred.
- Demonstrated affinity toward senior adults
- Organization and customer service skills
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under by Buckner's insurance policy. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
