Position Overview
This role is focused on managing day shift warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and efficient selection and loading of products onto trucks, promoting and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity, and ensuring a safe work environment. This position provides operational leadership to associates supporting distribution requirements, fosters personal and professional growth among DC management and associates, and ensures accurate handling of merchandise, replenishments, will-calls, and samples as necessary.

This position provides operational leadership to associates supporting distribution requirements, fosters personal and professional growth among DC management and associates, and ensures accurate handling of merchandise, replenishments, will-calls, and samples as necessary.
Key Accountabilities
- Establish and maintain a culture of open, honest communication; one of shared concern for the well-being and respect of all associates while encouraging opportunities for participation, collaboration, and teamwork at all levels within the distribution organization
- Requires a management style that promotes high performance, superior customer service, and innovation, while never compromising management’s integrity
- Establish and maintain a shift production schedule and address staffing needs; provide backup floor coverage as needed
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and operating schedules to meet inbound and outbound volume requirements and customer delivery schedules
- Evaluate daily performance and shift resources as needed
- Train and develop managers and supervisors for the warehouse operation
- Cross-train managers to ensure proper department coverage and development opportunities
- Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and drive operational performance
- Collaborate with supervisors and the director to establish priorities, ensure compliance with company policies, and identify areas for improvement
- Supervise product selection processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness
- Work with leadership to implement disciplinary action when necessary
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace to prevent injuries and address workers' compensation matters for employees injured on the job
- Work with the director and safety manager to support all safety initiatives
- Ensure employees use the Paylocity time-management system for accurate payroll processing and collaborate with the payroll department to verify that employee pay is processed correctly.
- Adhere to inventory management and asset protection guidelines, and maintain equipment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, crane technology and picking, conveyor and sortation systems are required
- Broad knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations
- Experience with conflict resolution and negotiation
- Effective, clear, and persuasive oral and written communications
- Ability to lead, motivate, and drive achievement of key performance goals.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or Supply Chain
- 5 or more years of experience in Supply Chain
- Intermediate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- Work performed requires limited physical exertion, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- Work requires frequent standing or walking throughout the workday
- Work requires a significant level of mental concentration to manage multiple complex tasks requiring continual mental and visual focus
- Works in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to environmental factors such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals
- Work required flexible hours to support the department's objectives; infrequent travel
