Role Summary
Join a team where you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to the design of high-voltage transmission lines, and build your technical foundation. You’ll have opportunities to learn industry-standard tools and codes, participate in real projects, and grow your skills in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to take the first step in a rewarding design career.
Qualifications
Assist in designing distribution (<600 V to 35 kV) systems using design software. Learn and apply design codes and specifications related to design requirements. Assist with drawing development and CAD-based design tasks. Engage in mentorship and structured learning opportunities with experienced engineers to build foundational skills. Responsible for ensuring the quality of your own work through self-review and adherence to established standards. Support client interactions by communicating professionally and learning to understand client expectations. Support assigned tasks while learning to work within defined scope, schedule, and budget. Participate in occasional site walks for current projects. Less than 5% travel.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- 0-2 years of experience.
- Pursuit of or have passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam a plus.
- Understanding of design software; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
- Basic ability to comprehend and interpret safety codes, utility standards and regulations (NESC, ASCE, IEEE).
- Developing analytical and organizational skills, with growing attention to detail and a willingness to learn problem-solving approaches.
- Adaptable and eager to learn, with a foundational ability to collaborate with project teams in a multi-discipline environment.
- Developing written and verbal communication skills with a strong willingness to learn and engage effectively with team members.
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
