Job Overview
We're seeking a contract R&D Scientist to support its R&D Operations and Measurement Sciences team. This role focuses on testing and analyzing food ingredients and products to support product development, innovation, and quality improvements.
This position is best suited for candidates with prior laboratory experience who are comfortable working independently in a lab environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical and chemical testing of food ingredients and samples
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Collect, analyze, and document data using laboratory systems (LIMS)
- Support product development and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with method development and validation
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety standards
- Maintain accurate and organized laboratory documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or a related field
- 3+ years of laboratory experience, preferably in the Food & Beverage industry
- Hands-on experience with analytical lab techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of lab safety procedures and chemical handling
- Hands-on exposure to a wide range of food testing and analytical techniques
- Gain valuable experience in a structured R&D laboratory environment
