Position Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery of products. This role involves analyzing demand forecasts, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with procurement, manufacturing, sales and logistics teams to align resources with production needs. The Production Planner monitors workflow, resolves scheduling conflicts, and implements process improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. A successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to dynamic production environments.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent with Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of planning/purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • APICS certification is also highly recommended.
  • Must have excellent communication, both oral and written, as well as team-building skills.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of company sensitive and proprietary information is also required.
  • Knowledge in ERP/MRP, Epicor ERP preferred.

Are You Our Next ACE?

  • Accountable for driving operational excellence by ensuring on-time delivery (OTD), optimizing productivity, and managing labor/material variances. Ensure work order due-date accuracy and develop production plans aligned with capacity and SIOP processes. Overseeing work orders to ensure timely material supply while championing Winchester’s culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across departments using DVS meetings to address value stream challenges and partner with operations, engineering, quality, sales, and buyers to deliver accurate SIOP forecasts.
  • Empowered to develop production schedules, set inventory levels, and prioritize tasks with the production floor. Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and the warehouse to enhance OTD, productivity, and manage labor and material variances.

Pay Transparency

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is up to $78,000-$88,000/annually (DOE) per year, plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
