We're hiring a Pathways to Work Specialist to join the team! This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment which includes a weekly onsite presence. This position also requires attendance at recruitment events.

The Pathways to Work Specialist provides a blend of recruitment skills and community outreach for the Human Resources Department in partnership with UPMC Health Plan Social Impact team. This position will involve working with our community partners, outreaching to our members and attending recruitment events/information sessions. This position will also develop relationships with our system-wide UPMC Talent Acquisition team, build talent pipelines, and offer support and guidance to all prospective candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, host, and/or attend recruitment events and interview/information sessions.
  • Conduct employment screening interviews for external applicants, of all levels and types of positions, including management.
  • Compare candidate qualifications with documented, objective criteria consistent with the job description to refer to our Talent Acquisition team across the organization.
  • Act as an advocate to candidates for resume assistance, interview preparation and job navigation.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to candidates, members and community partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information received within the guidelines of professional recruitment in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Represent UPMC at external and internal functions (i.e., job fairs, UPMC HS sponsored events, etc.), provide the public with information about UPMC and career opportunities.
  • Comply, analyze and prepare reports on the computer and work on special projects as requested.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and one year of employment interviewing or related human resources experience required.
    • OR High School Diploma/GED and three years of employment interviewing or related human resources experience required.
  • Experience with community organizations preferred.
  • UPMC Pathways to Work experience is preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34
