Space Vector Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team in Simi Valley, CA. You will play a key role in the development, execution, and documentation of test plans and procedures for a wide range of aerospace hardware and systems, including Battery Management Systems (BMS) and custom test equipment. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of critical systems in support of multiple aerospace programs.

Space Vector Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team in Simi Valley, CA. You will play a key role in the development, execution, and documentation of test plans and procedures for a wide range of aerospace hardware and systems, including Battery Management Systems (BMS) and custom test equipment. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, you will ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of critical systems in support of multiple aerospace programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute detailed test procedures for aerospace hardware and sub-systems.
- Perform hands-on testing including functional, environmental, and performance testing.
- Design and build test setups, jigs, and fixtures as required.
- Analyze test data, identify issues, and support root cause investigations.
- Document results in technical reports and support the generation of customer deliverables.
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to refine test plans and resolve design issues.
- Interface with suppliers and customers to support test-related requirements and reviews.
- Ensure all test activities comply with AS9100 quality management standards.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
- Maintain safe laboratory practices and enforce safety protocols.
- FPGA programming for test support may be required.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- At least three (3) years of experience in a test engineering or related role
- Strong background in test plan development, execution, and documentation
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems
- Familiarity with environmental and functional testing standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DO-160)
- Experience with data analysis tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Python is preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a team environment.
- The ability to obtain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Aerospace or defense industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with FPGA-based test interfaces or embedded systems a plus.
