We’re currently seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist Consultant to serve as a clinical resource and help elevate care standards across our network of nursing homes.

Position Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist Consultant, you will provide expert clinical guidance, assess residents with respiratory conditions, and collaborate with facility staff to ensure optimal respiratory care plans are in place. This is a flexible consulting role with travel to multiple nursing home locations in Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site assessments of residents with respiratory needs (COPD, trach care, oxygen therapy, etc.)
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and medical directors to develop individualized care plans
  • Provide staff education and training on respiratory therapies, equipment, and protocols
  • Review and recommend best practices for infection control and respiratory equipment usage
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for respiratory care in long-term settings
  • Assist in quality assurance and clinical audits as needed


Qualifications:

  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of Texas
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with at least 1 year in a long-term care or consulting setting preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and teaching skills
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing to travel to nursing homes across the state (mileage reimbursement provided)
