Compliance Officer at Rockland Federal Credit Union
Under the direction of the VP of BSA and Compliance, Responsible for administering compliance with all aspects of Deposit Compliance, Lending Compliance and audit programs, as well as all other matters requiring regulatory action.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors programs that verify the Credit Union's compliance with laws, regulations and rules governing operations and product offerings
- Performs periodic compliance monitoring and self-testing to verify that controls are operating effectively
- Periodic compliance monitoring includes reviews over the following business areas/functions: Lending related regulations, including HMDA, RESPA/TRID, FCRA, Commercial Lending, Residential Lending, Deposit related regulations, including ACH and Electronic Banking, Marketing.
- Ensures the Credit Union complies with all Federal and State regulations
- Maintains ongoing programs to evaluate the Credit Unions compliance management and compliance activities
- Advises Credit Union's Management of methods to develop and improve the Credit Union's regulatory performance.
- Assists in maintaining ongoing programs to evaluate the Credit Union's compliance, including the Monitoring and Testing Program, Compliance Management activities to ensure all levels of risks are identified and addressed
- Assesses the Credit Union's monitoring and testing program and assists Management with implementation and support of products and services, to ensure all levels of risks are identified and addressed
- Ensures that risk issues associated with new products and significant changes in existing products are properly evaluated and adequately addressed
- Manages the reviews of Credit Union advertisements and marketing materials and promotional giveaways to ensure they are in compliance with federal regulations and do not pose any financial and/or reputational risk to the Credit Union.
- Serves as a resource and support to Credit Union Management and employees on issues or inquiries, as needed
- Ensures corrective action is implemented on issues identified
- Maintains a high level of knowledge through training, participation in outside seminars and from professional publications and groups to ensure compliance with NCUA laws and regulations; applicable state laws; and such other laws and regulations as may be imposed on the Credit Union
- Assists in comprehensive compliance projects being considered or implemented at the Credit Union
- Coordinates with the appropriate team to assist in the project while ensuring that proper regulations are met and that the project is completed in a timely manner
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of six (6) years' prior related experience in a financial institution, preferably a credit union or bank
- Required Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
- Advanced knowledge of related laws and regulations
- Advanced knowledge of bank/credit union operations, systems, and infrastructure
- Advanced written, oral, and organizational skills
- Strong decision making, analytical, and investigation skills with high attention to detail
- Intermediate proficiency in software for core banking, anti-fraud, risk, and/or compliance management
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000, excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired at Rockland Federal Credit Union, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. We also take pay equity seriously and consider the internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please note that the range provided reflects the full base pay for this role. We also offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package designed to support your overall well-being and success.
