You will own the academic strategy in execution, establish rigorous standards, pinpoint operational gaps, and guide high-performing teams toward concrete results. You will convert our scientific principles into operational rigor and articulate this model's value to a global audience.

What You Will Be Doing

• Designing academic frameworks that convert learning science into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivational systems, and application architecture.
• Overseeing academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm school teams remain aligned, accountable, and outcome-focused.
• Integrating data, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
• Ensuring strategic coherence through planning cycles, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
• Serving as the face of 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, from keynote presentations to consultations with Ministries of Education, advancing systemic transformation in global education paradigms.

Head Of Academic Innovation Key Responsibilities

Expand and refine 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by harmonizing execution across all schools, raising leadership expectations, and establishing yourself as the authoritative spokesperson for a movement anchored in rigorous science and demonstrated impact.

Basic Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
• 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
• Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
• Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
• Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
• Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
• Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders

• Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $200 USD/hour, which equates to $400,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
