- To provide application and system support/administration of the Bank’s business applications portfolio
- Identify and resolve systems issues independently or through vendor escalation as required.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, system owners and vendors in the testing, integration and maintenance of new business applications, and infrastructure components.
- Assist with new solution assessments as directed, by evaluating use case, identifying potential problem areas or risks, and proposing risk mitigations recommendations.
- Act as the application support subject matter expert (SME) for assigned projects.
- As a SME, promote and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices within the IT teams ensuring user support is handled timely and effectively.
- Liaison with line of business to ensure requests and incident reports are submitted appropriately to ensure timely delivery while ensuring IT controls guidelines and policies are followed.
- As a SME, ensure system success criteria is met by working with vendors, peers and business partners on assigned system builds and maintenance.
- Participates in the development of best practice and process documentation for system implementations and support.
- Coordinate vendor demonstrations for new and revised system applications.
- Collaborates with other IT departments on interdependent processes as needed.
- Provides user and management reporting as assigned.
- Participate in internal audits and regulatory exams as assigned.
- Completes tasks according to department SLA requirements.
- Adheres to all IT policies and procedures.
Education/Credentials
- Minimum Education Level: University degree or college diploma or equivalent work experience
- Preferred Major: Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS Management with understanding of banking and financial systems
- Required: Minimum Years of Experience:
- 4+ years banking experience working with core and/or ancillary systems
- 4+ years of experience working in the Information technology industry
- 2+ years of experience in requirements gathering and project implementations
- Combination of Experience and Education can meet the job requirements: Yes
- Preferred: Knowledge of SWIFT.
- Preferred: Experience working with Fiserv and FIS applications
- Required: Intermediate written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
- Required: Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or customer complaints.
- Required: Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Required: Ability to research and identify application / product issues.
- Required: Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems.
- Required: Ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior and follow the Code of Conduct.
- Required: Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Required: Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in the work environment.
- Required: Ability to study and apply new information.
