SIA Group is a full-service, independent insurance agency with offices located throughout North Carolina. We offer insurance and risk management products for personal and commercial lines, group health benefits, consulting services, and more. We are searching for an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist for our Headquarters Office in Jacksonville.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. Additionally, assists with various administrative functions. We’re looking for someone who is eager to grow within the insurance industry. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
  • Enter data in Excel spreadsheets or agency management system as requested.
  • Act as a backup for the Certificate Administrator.
  • Keep the copy room in a good, neat order, to include monitoring supplies and placing orders.
  • Keep the kitchen in a good, neat order, to include monitoring the coffee pots and alerting Manager of needed supplies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Insurance industry or customer service experience, preferred.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and/or customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, to include Word and Excel.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS (Travel, Physical Demands, Etc.):

  • Sedentary position >75% of the time
  • Must be able to use a computer and common business software.
  • Monday through Friday 8am-5pm work hours (unless otherwise directed by department executive).


HOURS:

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
