Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive industry, is seeking a passionate and skilled Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Design Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting vehicle development projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, aligning successfully within a collaborative and forward-thinking organization.

Job Title:Design Engineer

Location:Santa Clarita, California

Pay Range: $43.26/hr - $57.69/hr

What's the Job?

• Provide component design and drawing support, including 3D and 2D design of automotive components and electrification design work.
• Engage in design tasks for a wide range of vehicle projects, including pinnacle and commercial programs.
• Utilize CAD software, with experience in CATIA V6 a plus, to develop detailed models and drawings.
• Participate in prototype and production manufacturing coordination, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Manage scheduling and reporting to ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently.
  
  

What's Needed?

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in 2D and 3D software modeling within the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in preliminary design preparation, concept design, evaluation, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, standard codes, and raw material codes.
• Excellent project management, data analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
