Receiving Inspector at Karman Space & Defense

Summary

Karman Space & Defense is looking to grow our team! We are seeking two talented Shipping & Receiving Inspector to fill the position at either our South El Monte or Corona locations. Perform physical and visual inspection of product and documentation in support of product conformance and control the required receiving inspection data for each specific job package . Work with internal customers in maintaining / verifying conformance prior to delivery. The receiving inspector must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality. The receiving inspector shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and sha ll contribute to product safety. The receiving inspector shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures.

Responsibility & Authority

• Support AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform receiving inspection of material, processes, and inspection documents.
• Maintain in-process and receiving inspection documentation.
• Approve documentation on all products, detail parts, tooling, and assemblies.
• Approve and maintain data for Karman inspectors/ engineers.
• Work with Quality Manger to support inspection efforts.
• Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure.
• Any other duties as assigned.
  
  

Education And/Or Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent in work experience.
• Adequate years’ of experience in inspecting welded product, detail parts and assemblies determined by Karman.
• Adequate years’ experience using inspection hand tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.) determined by Karman .
• Adequate years’ of experience working with Customer Source Inspectors determined by Karman.
  
  

Knowledge And Skill Requirements

• Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, must possess excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with Customers and all levels of Management.
• Must have excellent drawing print interpretation skills.
• Must have working knowledge of Customer requirements / specifications.
  
  

Itar Requirements

• To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.
• 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.
