Must be able to perform all duties of care staff including protective oversight of residents, hospitality, and customer service, while ensuring residents and participants have a safe, stimulating and enjoyable experience. Employees assigned to this position will also assist with laundry, food service, and activities as needed.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus two years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some supervisory experience preferred. Minimum 18 years of age required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of Hilltop’s Assisted Living Communities (ALCs), including Service 1, how we treat each other, and Service 2, how we treat the residents. Service 1 and Service 2 is demonstrated by setting boundaries, being predictable, consistent, kind, and transparent.
- Conducts oneself as a leader by taking ownership of the program and providing quality of care; commits to the betterment and growth of ALCs by offering solutions, developing processes, promoting communication with others, supporting communication from staff to management, prioritizing tasks, and actively participating in problem resolution.
- Supervise staff functions such as scheduling, hiring, performance management, training, customer service, and resolving personnel matters. Promote staff development by seeking input, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and addressing behaviors constructively when needed. Document routine feedback on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Maintain adequate staffing at all times based on work load, including covering for staff absences when needed.
- Monitor and process staff timesheets for accuracy and overtime usage.
- Provide general oversight of QMAP-certified care staff to coordinate/assign duties, review documentation, perform medication cart inventory audits, review medication disposal, and ensure accuracy of Medication Administration procedures and processes.
- Communicate resident concerns, and recommend care plan changes to the appropriate individual; facility nurse, Care Coordinator or Manager, resident physician, department manager, etc.
- Assist manager, when needed, with program inquiries which may require meeting with prospective families, maintaining and completing inquiry packets and forms, and entering and maintaining inquiry files in the current customer relationship management software.
- Depending on assignment, may manage new program enrollments including reviewing, gathering, creating, and faxing information to physicians; ensures forms are returned.
- Depending on assignment, may manage Census and Daily Schedule within the assigned department.
- Assist in directing emergency situations and making decisions which are in the best interest of the resident and/or employee.
- Depending on assignment, may oversee volunteers and attend volunteer meetings.
Education & Experience

- CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) Certification (preferred)
- De-Escalation Training (preferred)
- Hilltop’s Transportation Certification (preferred)

- The starting wage range for this role is $20.00 to $21.00 per hour.
