Our Waco, TX facility manufactures aluminum beverage cans commonly used for soft drinks, beers, energy drinks, teas and non-carbonated beverages. Using state of the art can-making technology, this high speed environment provides rewarding manufacturing opportunities.
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for strategically maintaining and growing relationships with the most critical, high-volume customers of the Aluminum Beverage Can Manufacturing Plant. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth daily execution of customer orders, resolving operational issues, and building foundational skills in sales, logistics, and supply chain coordination to support the plant's strategic commercial objectives.

Hours / Special Conditions
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; present to fulfill job duties & meet operational demands/support; schedule may vary depending on plant operational needs thus flexibility is required which could include long days, occasional evenings & weekends; Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Essential Job Functions
ACCOUNT SUPPORT AND SALES GROWTH
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain deep, strategic relationships with key stakeholders (purchasing directors, operations managers, and brand teams) at assigned key accounts (e.g., major beverage companies, brewers, or soft drink fillers).
- Order Management: Process and track customer orders, managing the flow of information between the customer's purchasing teams and the plant's production scheduling and logistics departments.
- Shipment Coordination: Track finished goods shipments to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) performance and communicate any potential delays or changes proactively to the customer.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate customer records, contracts summaries, and communication logs within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Issue Resolution: Work with internal teams (Logistics, Quality Assurance, Production) to quickly resolve customer service issues, delivery discrepancies, and administrative questions. Escalate complex or high-stakes issues to the Commercial Manager.
- Sales Support: Assist senior managers in preparing sales presentations, conducting market research, and compiling data analysis necessary for contract renewals and business reviews.
- Travel Support: Occasionally travel with senior team members to customer meetings to observe and assist with relationship building and contract discussions.
- Forecasting Support: Assist in gathering and compiling data to help senior management develop accurate sales forecasts and volume projections for the plant.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer service, inventory levels, and weekly sales volume, preparing summary reports for the commercial team.
- Market Research: Conduct basic research on competitor activity and market trends in the beverage and packaging sectors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred - 4 year Business Management or Engineering Degree; High School Education Required
- Required - 2 years Sales and/or Manufacturing experience; aluminum beverage can industry experience preferred
- Required - 2 years of Customer Service Experience
- Preferred - 2 years of Logistics Experience
- Preferred - Aluminum Beverage Can packaging Knowledge of SAP
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Analytical Skills: Basic proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively with both external customers and multiple internal departments.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10-20%) for training or with senior team members.
- Critical Availability: Must be available to respond to and manage supply chain emergencies (e.g., critical delivery failures, line-down risks) on a 24/7 basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays, due to the plant's continuous operation
- Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds
- Preference will be given to qualified local candidates
- General knowledge of basic hardware and software and uses of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-site software
- Prior experience with enterprise-wide purchasing software
- Prior experience with supply chain inventory databases
- Has the ability to learn new software systems and data management systems quickly
- Proficient keyboarding and typing skills
