Summary

Pima County Economic Development is seeking qualified consultants to develop a comprehensive asset map of aerospace and defense companies and their adjacent industry partners in Southern Arizona. This foundational research project will create a centralized database to enhance regional supply chain development, research collaboration, and strategic economic planning.

Project Overview

• Scope: Map aerospace/defense companies and adjacent industries (optics, photonics, manufacturing, R&D, supply chain) in Southern Arizona, with primary emphasis on Pima County
• Duration: 14 weeks from kickoff to final deliverables
• Budget: Not to exceed $10,000
• Phases: Research & data collection, verification & validation, database development & analysis, and final deliverable creation
  
  

Key Deliverables

• Comprehensive database with detailed company profiles including contact information, operational data, certifications, and supply chain indicators
• Executive summary report (15-25 pages) with key findings and recommendations
• Geographic analysis with visual mapping and cluster identification
• Supply chain gap analysis
• Methodology guide for replication
• Contact database in multiple formats (Excel, CSV)
• Visual asset map showing ecosystem relationships
  
  

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 examples of industry ecosystem mapping or cluster analysis projects
• Experience in aerospace/defense sector research
• Demonstrated database development and data visualization capabilities
• Understanding of ITAR, AS9100, and defense industrial base considerations
