The team at Henry Ford Eastwood Recovery Center listens and offers compassionate care and support. We provide treatment for substance use disorders and the issues that lead to addiction such as trauma, abuse, neglect, and mental health. Our staff are dedicated to helping each person find their path to recovery.

Hours are TBD but will include Saturday hours and 1 or 2 other days based on their schedule.

20 a week hours total.

General Summary

• Provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license.
• Contribute to the assessment of patients and assure the well-being of patients.
• Administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services.
• Educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.
  
  

Education/Experience Required

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education OR experience, if applicable.

Some knowledge in addiction helpful

Certification/Licences Required

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association accepted.
• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Experience with addiction preferred.
• This LPN position works with a small team to coordinate the care for clients in a men's detox program at Eastwood Recovery Center. Detox nurses utilize CIWA and COWS to assess clients in detox and provide appropriate medication.
