Our SelectLeaders' client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee hospital and medical facility construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of healthcare infrastructure projects.
These projects are located in Fairfax, Virginia, and this role requires regular on-site presence.

Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for hospital and medical construction projects
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and healthcare industry standards
- Conduct quality inspections to maintain high construction standards
- Address any deviations from project specifications promptly.
- Facilitate effective communication among project team members, hospital staff, and external partners.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and achievements.
- Identify potential risks related to construction delays, budget overruns, or design changes
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Understand the unique requirements of hospital and medical facilities (e.g., infection control, patient safety, specialized equipment)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address specific needs
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing construction projects in healthcare settings
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera)
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
