Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Performing or ensuring validation and verification activities as directed by Food Safety and HACCP Plans and Safety Quality Food (SQF) programs.
- Conducting regular GMP inspections and other food safety and quality inspections, documenting findings, and coordinating with production staff to implement corrective actions.
- Assisting in maintaining documentation of customer complaints, conducting investigations, and implementing appropriate resolutions.
- Monitoring and verifying the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) through swabbing procedures.
- Managing pest control activities and conducting follow-ups, as necessary.
- Participating in and supportin
- Maintaining, calibrating, and verifying facility equipment used for monitoring compliance with food safety and quality standards.
- g internal audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Conducting allergen, Critical Control Point (CCP), and cleaning validations according to schedule or as required.
- Helping during regulatory audits, government inspections, 3rd party inspections, corporate audits, and customer visits.
- Performing any other duties as assigned or required by business needs.
- Computer Skills – Must be able to use Microsoft Office, operate inventory software
- Education – degree in Food Science or a Technical field or have equivalent field experience.
- 1-2 years CAPA work experience in manufacturing plant environment preferred.
- 2-4 years Quality Assurance experience, preferably in the food industry or dietary supplements.
- 1-2 years’ experience in regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of FDA Quality System Regulations preferred.
- Able to apply strategic and quality logic and project management skills to investigation activities ensuring appropriate investigations are conducted.
- Good project management skills to deliver an effective service in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of work that forms part of the Quality System Documentation.
- Good written and oral communication skills to ensure effective and report generation and effective communication with all levels of the organization.
