To perform this job successfully, the Instructional Designer should possess intermediate to advanced skills in: Microsoft Office; Learning Management Systems; Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, etc.); Adobe Captivate or similar e-learning software; Ability to learn other software programs as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Present and make recommendations regarding course design, technology, and instruction delivery options.
- Define instructional, learning, or performance objectives
- Write and develop instructional materials and products such as lesson plans, eLearning modules, student and instructor guides, presentations, infographics, quick reference guides, checklists, etc.
- Adapt instructional content or delivery methods for different levels or types of learners
- Assess company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identify and arrange suitable training solutions for employees
- Actively search, creatively design, and proactively implement effective methods to educate and enhance performance
- Work with subject matter experts to gather information and material to develop instructional content
- Conduct needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to develop the basis for curriculum development or to update curricula.
- Develop measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.
- Manage eLearning initiatives and course development
- Develop and deploy communications and training plans to support performance management activities and any process or system changes
- Manage communication regarding training, HR initiatives, and organizational development areas
- Research and evaluate emerging instructional technologies or methods
- Ensure branding integrity is upheld
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
- All other duties as assigned

- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of instructional design experience and/or training required.
- Experience in the security industry is not necessary.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, other employees of the organization, and the general public.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating policies and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
