Transportation Coordinator at Environmental Air Systems

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to direct shipping between manufacturing plants and construction project sites.

Job Description

• Coordinate shipping in between plants
• Coordinate shipping from plant to project sites
• Coordinate/dispatch drivers
• Organizing dispatch schedule for all shipping with EAS drivers
• Create shipping documents needed for transporting loads
• Order all permits for moving oversized loads
• Hire Police escorts, bucket trucks, and civilian escorts when needed
• Planning routes to accommodate shipping oversize loads
• Organizing invoices for all vendors used for shipping purposes
• Coordinating 3rd party carriers when needed for shipping product
• Reviewing drivers logs for compliance
  
  
  

Skills (Preferred)

• Experience ordering oversize - overweight permits (multi-state)
• Experience supervising commercial truck drivers
• Experience with GPS/google map routing for oversize loads
• Experience dispatching drivers
• Experience with specialized equipment preferred but not required - 4 axle trucks / heavy haul trailers

• Must have a positive attitude with team members
• Must have 2 years experience in the Transportation Industry
• Must have experience with supervision of team members
• Must have great organizational skills
• Must have computer skills with Excel
• High School diploma or GED
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
