Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating, critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and caring.
Work Schedule
Minimum of one (1) shift per two-week pay period. Variable start times between 0615–0900. Eight (8) hour shifts. Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications
- Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs: CST ( https://nbstsa.org/examinations-cst.html ) or NCCT ( https://www.ncctinc.com/General/VerifyCertification.aspx ) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.
- Currently validated CPR skills preferred
- Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
- Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
