Job Summary

• As a Production Designer on our Design Foundations team, you will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless transition of product design details through the development lifecycle.
• Collaborating closely with product and development teams, your mission is to uphold the highest standards of design within our products.
• Developer Handoffs & Support: Provide detailed, well-documented design specifications for product features and act as the primary point of contact for resolving design-related questions during development.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside product designers, product managers, and engineers to identify and define the necessary design details to deliver a consistent user experience.
• Design System Oversight: Critically review design concepts for component usage and translate finalized designs into detailed production-ready documentation.
• Ensure the highest standard for consistency of visual elements and UX patterns.
• Design System Contribution: Help evolve and refine the ADC Design System, UX guidelines, and processes that govern it.
• Facilitate collaboration and brainstorming sessions with the Product Design team.
• Document and train users of the design system to increase utilization and correct usage.
• Design File Maintenance and Change Management: Create, revise, and maintain design files, including component libraries and developer handoff files that are easy to navigate.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of executing changes within Figma to ensure smooth, efficient updates.
• Organize and maintain design files and component libraries in Figma
• This role is for a technically-minded designer who bridges the gap between design and development.
• Support audits and ensure compliance
• Generate reports and provide training on design system usage
• Design system maintenance
• Conduct thorough design reviews; attention to detail is critical
• Some UI design and polish toward project completion
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design / human factors or related field, with minimum of 4+ years relevant work experience.
• Demonstrates a strong foundation in both design principles and technical implementation, with the ability to bridge the gap between design and development.
• Has extensive experience with Figma, including file management, component creation, and collaboration features.
• Experience with design system maintenance and evolution, possessing a keen eye for detail and consistency.
• Exhibits strong communication skills, capable of working effectively across different teams and disciplines.
• Is proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and capable of implementing practical solutions.
• Brings a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences, with a user-centered approach to design and development.
• Portfolios must include: experience building design systems & ability to deliver designs through the development process.
• Jira & Coding experience nice to have
• This role is Ideal for frontend developers turned UI designers, or production designers but they MUST have experience delivering web/mobile apps.
• Preferred case studies should focus on:
• Design components candidates have built.
• Implementation challenges they overcame to deliver a design feature through development.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
