Job Purpose

Ensure adequate resources and capability, to include people and processes, reside within the business segment and are equipped to develop and deliver sales strategies for current customers and new prospects across the allocated region. Will also ensure that processes are aligned with business strategy and profitability related targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish regional strategies in alignment with global strategy. Will serve as a member of the global management team.
  • Effectively engage, develop and lead regional sales team.
  • Roll-out segment, reginal and global sales programs (including sales process-related knowledge and tools) and implement corporate projects such as customer relationship management (CRM) and integrated business planning (IBP).
  • Build and execute account and business development plans for the region.
  • Plan, monitor and periodically report on execution of major sales activities conducted with regard to indirect and direct sales channel.
  • Identify significant business opportunities, pinpoint existing and/or potential problem areas and assist field force where appropriate.
  • Provide demand forecast for regional segment sales plans in alignment with business integrated business planning (IBP) processes.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement across the organization to generate value to customers – Service, capability, efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including support to the relevant key account teams, to execute sales plans and deliver against desired service levels.
  • Provide support and leadership to sales, customer services and technical teams by implementing resources to ensure high service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Constantly optimize the capabilities of the organization by coaching, mentoring and supporting sales representatives and functional team members.
  • Be familiar with all applicable corporate as well as site policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct and Health/Safety/Environmental standards, acting in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management or related field. Master of Science in Business Management or related field preferred.
  • 10 years’ experience in commercial leadership/management roles, sales and key account management in paints and coatings or related business-to-business industry. Must understand cross functional processes and financial concepts related to sales and cost to serve.
  • Effective leadership, project management and decision-making skills. Must be able to effectively manage team/stakeholders and drive results.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Must be able to create value propositions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% on an annual basis. Some overnight travel may be required.

Rewards And Benefits

The salary range for these skills is $180,000.00 - $190,000.00 based upon experience. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
