Financial Analyst at IES Electrical

IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking full-time Financial Analyst in Suffolk, Virginia.

Job Summary

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Documents financial transactions such as, but not limited to, entering journal entries, asset records, and inventory
• Maintains prepaid dues and subscriptions schedules
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents
• Reconciles general ledger and sub-ledger accounts
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Current knowledge of computer systems, MS Office, and Spectrum is a plus.
• Attention-to-Detail skill.
• Strong communication (oral and written) and detailed organizational skills.
• Must be hands-on, self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities/projects, to collaborate, communicate, and build working relationships with all levels of employees and management.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and judgment when dealing with sensitive financial issues.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
