Director Real Estate at Vertical Bridge

Summary

The Director of Real Estate will be responsible for managing Vertical Bridge’s assets for multiple utility companies and managed towers across the United States. This role focuses on growing the existing portfolio, coordinating site acquisition activities from initial inquiry to lease execution, and ensuring seamless collaboration between utility contacts and Regional Leasing Managers. This position is highly customer and partner-facing, requiring exceptional interpersonal skills to maintain and strengthen existing relationships while actively developing new ones. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and proactive approach to collaboration and problem-solving.

Job Functions

• Oversee and grow the third-party party asset portfolios, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment
• Manage and partner with Regional Leasing Managers, engineering, and development teams to streamline processes and deliver on timelines
• Coordinate and lead weekly calls with the utility partners to discuss active applications and carrier developments
• Refine and optimize the third-party leasing processes to benefit the overall program timelines and customer experience
• Manage relationships with third-party consultants, utility companies, and other vendors
• Lead negotiations for utility-related agreements and integrate new portfolios into workflows
• Manage, guide, mentor, and provide performance feedback to a team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
• Provide regular updates to the Vice President Real Estate and executive leadership on 3rd party real estate metrics and project milestones

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Position will work directly from the corporate office with some travel to visit partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, engineering, urban planning or other related field
• 8-10 years of industry experience in telecom, utilities, or infrastructure real estate
• Knowledge of the utility industry processes and procedures is required
• Previous tower and other communication infrastructure operations experience is preferred
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and regulatory compliance skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill
