What are your responsibilities?
The Technical Field Advisor is responsible for providing technical support and recommendations to our customers regarding the operation, maintenance, and repair of power generation equipment.
What will you do?
- Perform on-site equipment assessments and inspections to identify issues, recommend repairs or upgrades, and ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Analyze equipment performance data and test results to diagnose technical problems and determine root causes of issues.
- Develop detailed scopes of work, recommendations, and cost estimates for repairs or upgrades in coordination with engineering team.
- Provide training and advising to plant personnel on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, troubleshooting techniques.
- Liaise with our engineering department to resolve complex technical issues. Coordinate warranty support as needed.
- Document site visits, inspections, and work completed in CRM/EAM system. Generate reports as required.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of OEM equipment specifications, designs, common issues through ongoing training.
- Travel regularly (50-75% of time) to customer plant locations throughout the United States.

What do you need to qualify for this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or closely related technical field preferred; however, candidates with 8+ years of experience in power generation plant equipment operations, maintenance, or service engineering will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications, data analysis, documentation.
