Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.
In this role, you will be a central pillar within Google's risk management function. Your primary focus will be the strategic support for the internal insurance operations, claims, captives and payments, while also delivering key financial analysis, accounting coordination, and audit support. You will gain exposure to a vast range of teams and associated risks, operating at a scale.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of financial analysis, accounting, or analytics related experience in an insurance or financial services environment.
- Experience working with financial statements and GAAP accounting standards.
- MBA or Master's degree.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace, and agentic processes.
- Knowledge of risk management, insurance and captive insurance companies.
- Ability to deliver high-quality presentation materials in tight time frames.
- Ability to handle ambiguity in a rapidly changing landscape.
- Excellent project management and AI-related skills with a focus on organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask as well as excellent communication and people skills, including working with various internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a central resource for the risk and insurance team.
- Provide communications and metrics to management on risk issues, financial performance, and claims trends.
- Coordinate financials and reports that support Alphabet entities, ensure compliance with proper financial reporting and GAAP accounting practices.
- Establish profitability measurements and metrics for insurance operations.
- Work with auditors and vendors on financial reporting and accounting requirements.
