Position Summary

The Laboratory Analyst provides analytical support to the Production Department via the testing of both process and final product samples and ensures that all sample analyses adhere to strict standard operating and calibration procedures used in the laboratory. This is a DuPont Shift position.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of process samples
  • Analysis of final product samples
  • Evaluates reported results for consistency with plant process conditions
  • Performs routine calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Conducts non-routine testing of samples using approved detailed procedures & methodology
  • Provides assistance to Lab Manager, Supervisor and Chemist

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
  • HS Degree or equivalent required
  • Strong computer and hardware skills
  • Hands-on experience with GC, AA, Titration, viscosity measurement, polymer testing equipment
  • Hands-on experience with procedures used to calibrate and standardize laboratory test equipment as well as the preparation of reagents
  • Ability to multi-tasks in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
