Full Time – Contract Coordinator of Payer Contracting
The Contract Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Director of Contracting and Contract Manager in the development, execution, and maintenance of payer, vendor, and provider contracts. This position ensures all agreements, amendments, and related documentation are accurately prepared, tracked, and filed in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements. The Contract Coordinator plays a key role in supporting network operations and maintaining strong payer relationships to facilitate timely reimbursement and program growth across the organization’s OTP/OBOT/RTD network.

The Contract Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Director of Contracting and Contract Manager in the development, execution, and maintenance of payer, vendor, and provider contracts. This position ensures all agreements, amendments, and related documentation are accurately prepared, tracked, and filed in compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements. The Contract Coordinator plays a key role in supporting network operations and maintaining strong payer relationships to facilitate timely reimbursement and program growth across the organization’s OTP/OBOT/RTD network.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, review, and routing of new contracts, amendments, and renewals for signatures and internal approvals.
- Maintain the contracting database and document management system, ensuring all agreements are current and fully executed copies are on file.
- Track contract status, expirations, and deliverables; follow up with internal stakeholders and payers to ensure timely execution and compliance.
- Support payer enrollment and credentialing efforts by coordinating submission of required documentation and maintaining accurate provider rosters.
- Prepare and maintain contract tracking logs, summaries, and reports for leadership review.
- Coordinate with Revenue Cycle and Operations teams to confirm contract implementation details such as rates, billing codes, and effective dates.
- Assist with data entry, analysis, and reconciliation related to reimbursement rates and payer fee schedules.
- Support audit requests and internal reviews to ensure contract compliance and completeness.
- Communicate professionally with payers, vendors, and internal teams regarding contract status, issues, and resolutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Contracting or Contract Manager.
- Facilitate meetings with contracted managed care plans when requested.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the department Director.
- Comply with BayMark policies and procedures, Compliance Policy, and Code of Ethics.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen, data analytics skills, and experience with project management and customer relationship management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high sense of urgency, and budget effectively without close supervision.
- Must be a self-starter; creative, proactive, organized, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative work style.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional and clinical documents, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Effective oral and written communication skills including email, letter writing, executive summaries, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Consistently meet deadlines with the ability to prioritize and remain flexible.
- Detail-oriented and team-oriented.
- Ability to work with little supervision and direction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities.
- Supports and contributes to the professional growth of department staff.
- Experience in environments of acquisitions, growth, and change management preferred.
- Effective communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills.
