The Data Analytics Developer is responsible for delivering end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions across the organization. This role owns the full reporting lifecycle including SQL Server data extraction and transformation, maintaining PowerBI, deployment, user enablement, and ongoing support.

The Data Analytics Developer serves as a primary support for enterprise and reporting needs as well as analytics partner to business stakeholders. The role collaborates closely with IT and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, available, properly modeled, and translated into actionable dashboards, analyses, and scorecards. This includes maintaining reliable campaign, CRM, and marketing automation data.

What You’ll Do:

• SQL Development & Data Engineering
  
  
  
  • Design, build, test, deploy, and support SQL Server queries and database objects to enable reporting and analytics.
  
  
  • Translate business requirements into accurate, scalable SQL logic and data transformations.
  
  
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database/environment issues affecting reporting or data availability.
  
  
  • Apply standard development practices including peer review, documentation, testing, and release support.
  
  
  • Support data audit processes and ensure integrity, consistency, and traceability of reporting data.
  
  



• 2. Reporting, Visualization & Scorecarding

  
  
  
  
  • Design and implement dashboards and reports in PowerBI (ad hoc and recurring).
  
  
  • Build scorecards and KPI views for Marketing and enterprise stakeholders.
  
  
  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned to business definitions.
  
  
  • Maintain and improve existing reporting architecture; implement enhancements or new data models as needed.
  
  



• 3. Marketing & Business Analytics Support

  
  
  
  
  • Provide campaign performance reporting, segmentation support, funnel analysis, and insight generation.
  
  
  • Ensure required data for campaigns and segmentation flows correctly into CRM and marketing automation systems.
  
  
  • Partner with stakeholders to interpret trends and answer strategic business questions with data.
  
  
  • Support key projects with structured analysis, hypothesis testing, and actionable recommendations.
  
  



• 4. Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement

  
  
  
  
  • Serve as a cross-functional analytics partner to Marketing, IT, and other internal customers.
  
  
  • Manage intake and prioritization of reporting requests, including new builds and changes to existing reports.
  
  
  • Onboard and educate users on reporting tools, dashboards, and underlying data architecture.
  
  
  • Explain technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
  

What We Need:

• 3+ years of professional experience in a BI, analytics, or SQL development role.


• Advanced proficiency with SQL (MS SQL Server preferred) including coding logic and data transformation.


• Proficiency in PowerBI (or similar BI/reporting tools) for dashboard/report creation.


• Strong working knowledge of Excel and data analysis techniques.


• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver on deadlines, and solve problems independently.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to translate technical detail into business context.


• Ability to work effectively with both IT engineering teams and creative/business functions.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with marketing data, campaign reporting, segmentation, and sales/lead funnel analytics.


• Experience with data warehousing concepts and reporting architecture.


• Exposure to API/data integration tools such as MuleSoft or Boomi.


• Prior experience in IT analytics, Marketing analytics, or a cross-functional BI role.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain sitting in a stationary position for prolonged periods


• Requires the ability to move about inside the office


• Must be able to move items weighing up to 25 pounds


• Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, customers, vendors, and the public


• Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

Hours/Schedule:

Part-time, up to 15 hours per week/52 weeks per year. Standard hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 but due to cyclical nature of position, some overtime, including evening and weekend hours, will be required to complete projects under deadlines. Some local and statewide travel may be required.
