Job Description

Chused & Co. is seeking a freelance interior architectural drafter to assist designers in floor plans, elevations, sketch models and presentation ready renders. This role requires a designer with exceptional technical drawing ability to be able to produce documents efficiently.

This is an in-office role with partial remote flexibility after the first phase of work. Initial commitment is one month, with potential for extension.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality 2D floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings in AutoCAD.
• Develop complete drawing sets for contractor bidding and active construction.
• Create 3D models and renderings in SketchUp and Enscape for design presentations.
• Manage multiple projects at once, maintaining accuracy, speed, and clear priorities.
• Communicate effectively with the internal design team.
• Identify discrepancies, missing information, or coordination issues before they become problems.
• Maintain consistent drafting standards and organized file structures across all projects.
  
  

Qualifications

• Exceptional AutoCAD proficiency and strong rendering skills in SketchUp and Enscape.
• Experience producing bid sets and construction-ready documents.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to take initiative, follow direction precisely, and work with minimal oversight.
• Strong organizational habits and meticulous attention to detail.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced studio environment with shifting deadlines.
