As a security officer, you’ll maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring the premises, controlling access, and responding to incidents professionally and promptly. In this role, you’ll actively oversee CCTV systems, access control, and complete detailed incident reports when necessary. You’ll support the safety and protection of Progressive employees, customers, and property through proactive observation, routine patrols, and effective incident response, and you may be required to coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when situations demand it.

This position will require you to report to our St. Petersburg, Florida office.

Schedule

• Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM- 3:00 PM ET
• Must be flexible to work other shifts in support of the 24x7 work environment, including holidays and weekends, and the ability to work overtime, if necessary.

Must-have qualifications

• High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum three years of security supervisory experience, security console operator related experience, or Military/Law Enforcement experience

Preferred skills

• Understanding of all physical security systems, such as Access Control, CCTV, and Incident Reporting Programs.
• Strong customer service skills while interacting with employees, visitors, or customers.
• Ability to effectively multitask, moving back and forth between multiple incidents.
• Maintain professional demeanor and productivity during stressful work situations.
• Basic knowledge of alarms and security equipment.

Compensation

• $21.44 - $26.83/hour
• Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
