Location: Honolulu, HI

Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $20/hour

Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in a kitchen (restaurant or food manufacturing).

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking a Cook to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Wash, slice, and cook various produce, including taro, breadfruit, and potatoes.
• Operate and monitor machines used to wash, slice, fry, and salt produce.
• Open and control valves to pump preheated cooking oil into vats.
• Adjust burner controls to maintain proper cooking temperatures.
• Manage salt hoppers and apply seasoning as needed.
• Monitor the flow of produce into vats and adjust levers for consistency.
• Stir or use rakes to ensure even frying and cooking.
• Observe product quality, including color and texture, during cooking.
• Maintain a clean and safe food preparation and cooking environment.

Position Requirements

• Experience operating a kitchen or food manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Ability to monitor and control cooking processes and equipment.
• Dependable and punctual.
