Sr Director Program Management at Crane Company

Essential Functions
- Directs and develops a PM organization consisting of various leadership levels in the implementation of process, tools, training, best practices, and lessons learned to continuously improve and grow the capability of program managers across Verticals
- Manages change initiatives during solution integration and organizational transitions, applying change management methodologies
- Drives unified PM standards and practices across Solution Verticals, ensuring consistent methodology and execution
- Champions continuous improvement through implementation of industry-standard tools [e.g., Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) methodology] while facilitating knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across Solution Verticals
- Conducts strategic site evaluations by visiting multiple Solution Vertical locations to assess PM processes, audit documentation, and review corrective action plans
- Communicates program management requirements for implementation across the site and with key stakeholders
- Presents status of PM process development, execution, and adherence to Executive management
- A focal point for the creation and execution of Strategic Deployment initiatives with respect to NPD program execution with Executive Leadership
- Oversees the development, maintenance, and implementation of PM policies and standard work, including documentation, training, and compliance monitoring
- Establishes a mechanism for gathering feedback from stakeholders on PM processes and areas for improvement
- Audits and regularly updates PM-related documentation and policies
- Plans, prioritizes, and ensures consistent application of process development initiatives across multiple locations Establishes and maintains comprehensive performance management systems, including metrics, feedback mechanisms, and accountability measures for all levels of the PM organization
- Effectively manages geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations, including on-site and remote team members
- Performs other related duties which may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Ten+ years’ experience in Program (or Project) Management or related management position, preferably within Aerospace.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of PM tools, processes and metrics, and the ability to train and educate others is required.
- Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated leadership skills, results focus, customer service orientation, action orientation, planning & organizing, teamwork & cooperation, business acumen, decision-making skills; Ability to mentor and direct the efforts of assigned resources.
- Demonstrated performance delivering multiple product development programs across multiple technology domains (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and oversee multiple complex program portfolios and their associated resources. Ability and maturity to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of company personnel.
- Ability to use transactional process improvement techniques through Kaizen, or similar events, to solve complex business problems.
- Good business sense, with a fundamental understanding of business initiatives and company-wide activities both within and outside of the engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Oracle ERP, and other PC based office tools.
- Education/Certification: BS degree in Engineering or Business Administration. Master’s degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Some experience in a technical field preferred, preferably aerospace.
- MBA or comparable advanced management degree
- Formal training in Program and / or Systems Management
- Program Management Professional (PMI) certification

$256,000 - $305,000 annually. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
