Status: Full time Remote, prefer residents in Southern US due to assigned territory.

Position Purpose

This role serves as a key driver of operational excellence across regional PACE programs, providing strategic leadership, oversight, and hands-on support to local teams. Partnering closely with executive leadership, this position leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives that strengthen performance, ensure sustainable growth, and align with organizational goals.

Accountable for operational and financial outcomes, the leader ensures the highest standards of compliance, quality, and service delivery. Through strong collaboration with local leadership, they identify performance gaps, implement targeted improvements, and drive continuous optimization.

This role also focuses on developing and mentoring Executive Directors, building leadership capability, and ensuring alignment across programs. The position may serve as Interim Executive Director when needed, maintaining stability during transitions.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with expertise in strategic planning, program implementation, and integration through mergers and acquisitions. They bring strong public speaking and stakeholder engagement skills, along with proven success in leading organizational turnarounds. Deep knowledge of PACE programs and regulatory requirements is essential, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

This position supports the southern U.S. region, including Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Alabama.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor program performance vs. plan and forecast; identify risks and lead financial improvement plans.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee Executive Directors; coach staff, address issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, corporate integrity standards, and ethical policies.
  • Execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans; maintain operations and communication during crises.
  • Apply industry best practices; standardize operations and lead implementation across programs.
  • Lead operational assessments, including scheduling, facilitation, reporting, and improvement planning.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives across programs to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards aligned to key benchmarks.
  • Participate in operational reviews; analyze variances and implement corrective action plans.
  • Partner with leadership to implement shared services and master service initiatives.
  • Serve as operational resource and advisor to sponsored plans.
  • Sponsor strategic initiatives; develop business cases and lead project planning, execution, and evaluation.
  • Provide technical support for provider networks, program development, expansion, and shared learning.
  • May also serve as Interim Executive Director as needed and directly oversees local Executive Directors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of healthcare related and progressive leadership experience.
  • Five (5) or more year's PACE Executive Director experience is strongly preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may be acceptable
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation, program implementation and experience with program integration/acquisition/mergers.
  • Multi-site experience required.
  • Action-oriented professional with strong business acumen, decision-making, and conflict management skills; highly customer-focused, adaptable to change, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to drive productivity with cross-functional teams, customers, and end users in both virtual and shared leadership environments
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences and effective in both in-person and virtual settings
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with working knowledge of email and calendaring systems; able to quickly learn new software and type accurately and efficiently
  • High level of accountability, responsibility, and independent judgment with the ability to plan, organize, implement, and align programs and processes with organizational goals and mission
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing competing priorities, handling interruptions, delivering high-quality service, and solving problems effectively
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to research, evaluate, and synthesize information from multiple sources while prioritizing workload
  • Willing and able to travel up to 50% to assigned locations and to the Livonia, MI home office.
