Vendor Sourcing Team Lead at Modern Construction Services
Modern Construction and Facilities Maintenance Services (Modern Construction Services, LLC) is a full-service, WBENC-certified company located in Charlotte, NC offering clients regional commercial construction and renovation as well as nationwide 24x7x365 facility maintenance services.
We are hiring a driven professional to join our Vendor Management Department in support of clients across the country as a Vendor Sourcing Team Lead .
The Vendor Sourcing Team Lead is an individual contributor responsible for executing and supporting high-volume vendor sourcing efforts while serving as a subject matter expert for the team. This role plays a key part in identifying, evaluating, onboarding, and maintaining a nationwide network of subcontractors and suppliers (our vendor network).
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, call-heavy environment, has attention to detail, excels at quickly locating high-quality subcontractors.
The rate of pay is $30.00/hour, and the position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt, and is eligible for overtime pay.
This position is in-office (the location is 5900 Harris Technology Blvd., Charlotte, NC 28269) and is not remote (work from home).
Requirements
Team Leadership & Support

- Track team performance (activity, onboarding, data accuracy)

- Execute managements priorities through daily team actions
- Support special projects (data cleanup, sourcing initiatives, system improvements)
Vendor Sourcing & Coordination
- Drive real-time vendor / subcontractor sourcing through high-volume phone outreach, quickly engaging vendors to confirm availability, capabilities, and timelines for urgent needs
- Build and maintain proactive vendor pipelines, using consistent outreach and relationship development to support upcoming projects
- Connect the right vendor to the right job, leveraging strong communication and problem-solving skills to keep operations moving efficiently
- Act as the voice behind administrative processes, reinforcing email requests through direct calls to ensure vendors understand and complete required documentation
- Hold vendors accountable for responsiveness and compliance, actively following up to secure timely updates and required submissions
- Ensure administrative quality and consistency, overseeing documentation standards and closing communication gaps between vendors and internal teams

Preferred
- Experience in high-volume calling roles such as dispatch, freight brokerage, recruiting, or outbound sales
- Experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or vendor sourcing environments
- Knowledge of subcontractor compliance requirements (COI, W9, licensing, contracts)
- Experience with CRM systems, dispatch tools, or vendor management platforms
- Intermediate Excel skills working with small-to-medium datasets
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience
